Joint Position: Business Development / New Business Manager (salary experience related + commission)

Position Summary

The Graphical Tree is looking to appoint an experienced individual to act as Business Development Manager and attract new business to the company.

The successful candidate will be an ambitious, proactive individual who can help nurture and grow our existing client base and contacts, increasing sales and widening our customer's knowledge of our production services, as well as bringing new customers into the business.

Ideally, we looking for a person with a proven track record in large-format print and display and someone with the experience and ability to hit the ground running. If successful you will be responsible for establishing new relationships, and nurturing existing ones, as well as identifying business opportunities, while working closely with the production department to deliver projects as specified and on time.

Key Skills

The ability to plan and implement a successful sales strategy that encourages and develops growth, both from the existing database as well as the locating of potential new customers.

The desire and skills to engage potential new customers across a variety of communication leads including – email, telephone, social media including LinkedIn, and face-to-face.

Great negotiating and listening skills, coupled with an enthusiasm for the print processes and products are a winning formula to secure new business and repeat orders.

Confidence in managing large format print and display requests from clients and suppliers.

Experience in large format print and display production methods; available substrates and media; interpretation and understanding of customer briefs, and a creative eye which is a big plus in helping clients navigate the wide range of print and display solutions on offer.

Knowledge of budgets, cost analysis, and estimating.

Knowledge of Excel and spreadsheets.

Some Adobe Creative Suite knowledge would be useful, but not essential.

You will need to be able to work on your own initiatives and as part of a team.
